GUIDING PRINCIPLES

We are awed and inspired by all the energy that has gone into creating the festival, and we want to contribute to that work in a positive and loving way. We see our work as in line with the festival's own commitment "to deal with the things that come up as a direct outgrowth of the diversity that we love, respect AND WANT," (emphasis in the original, from the "Welcome to the Land" overview for workers.)

Trans women ("MtF") are already an important part of the women's communities in other parts of our lives; we want their voices, bodies, stories, and selves honored and included at this amazing event we attend (or are considering attending). We are especially committed to welcoming trans women into the diverse community of women that makes up MWMF.

We believe that having this women's festival is extremely important, and that it must honor and include all women for its continued success.
